FEMA Cuts The Red Tape

As the frequency and cost of natural disasters tick up across the country, the federal government is finally stepping up emergency assistance. 

In a statement last week, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced it would make updates to its aid programs, expediting access to needed funds, expanding eligibility for property repairs, and importantly, easing the application process for people seeking assistance.
