In little-noticed comments at a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing last week, Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine began touting the idea of installing defense industry officials to help run the Pentagon.

Meanwhile, Nevada’s Democratic Gov. Steve Sisolak is proposing to attract tech industry development using a 19th century idea: allowing corporations to become governments.

And now the Congressional Budget Office — which recently downplayed the effects of climate change — is moving to try to kill a minimum wage increase.
