Recently, Platner has come under fire for past online postings and a tattoo from his time in the military. He argues that party powerbrokers “are trying to destroy my life” as he’s scored Sen. Bernie Sanders’ endorsement and surged ahead of Democratic leaders’ hand-picked candidate in the polls.
